I first took up the practice
of meditation through initiation at the School of Meditation in London in 2000,
and have been practising various forms of meditation ever since. I have recently
been interested in mindfulness meditation by Jon Kabat-Zinn, who has pioneered
several key scientific studies on its benefits in meditation.
I have also been reading
scientific papers on various other forms of meditation and their results, which
I find fascinating. I shall be sharing what I have discovered about the latest
scientific analyses on meditation, and there will be an opportunity to discuss
your views.
The session will consist of a
1 hour presentation followed by a 20 minute guided mindfulness meditation and an
opportunity to share insights with each other.
