In this lecture Graham Nicholls
will explore psychic or ‘psi’ phenomena in the light of the hundreds of
out-of-body experiences he has undergone since childhood.
Many have asked him over the
years why these kinds of experiences happen to some and not to others; a
question he has explored in-depth.
Drawing upon his personal
insights and experience as well as years of research and practice he will aim to
suggest possible answers to this question.
From electromagnetic fields or
the lunar cycles and sunspots, to psychological areas such as childhood trauma,
to the effects of different meditational practices. Graham will not just offer
insights into why people have exceptional psychical experiences but also how we
can develop them. He will also introduce the scientific evidence for psi and
what this suggests to those seeking to develop their own psychical abilities.
Finally he will explain the
‘immersive’ environments he has designed and built to be conducive to altered
states of consciousness using the latest technology.
Graham
