What are Intuitives?

Please note that this is an informational article only and does not reflect the belief structure of all intuitives. Instead it is a guide for newcomers to better understand the nature of psychics. Please assess using your own intuition.

An intuitive or psychic is an individual who either through training or natural awakening, is able to sense energy through clairvoyance (clear seeing), clairaudience (clear hearing), clairsentience (clear feeling), claircognisance (clear knowing), clairalience (clear scent), clairgustance (clear tasting) or via other means.

As LCS courses and workshops explain to students, psychics are simply intuitives attuned to an energetic frequency that we have all learned to forget! For example, the inner feeling (clairsentience) ability is something we all have to some extent through our empathy. When we sense the energy of others within a room, their moods, their feelings – we are to an extent sensing their inner feelings, which is reflected to us through our inner feeling. Intuitives do not read our minds! Instead, intuitives sense the energy of another and then process this energy as information through their own energetic system.

For example, intuitives through training learn to develop their own language, their own personal dictionary deciphering the images, in a clairvoyant's case, that appear within their consciousness. We all receive these 'messages' when we interact with others, however over time we have learned to completely ignore their relevance and our minds immediately push them away. There are many types of intuitives, each with their own unique ability of accessing information, ranging from mediums who give proof of survival after death to tarot readers who use their knowledge of symbology to metaphorise life's spiritual meaning.

Please note that whilst traditionally psychics have been seen as a tool for predicting the future, psychics are in fact guides to what can happen in the future. It is more empowering to view a psychic as a fellow individual who is more attuned to the frequency of energy, of information, to bring about information to the client in the present moment - so that they can then use to take back their power and bring about real changes in their lives. In the end it is always the client who makes the choices and decisions in their lives, not the psychic. So use your discernment and use your power! Every single day you are making choices.

Mediumship

Mediums have the ability to tune into the vibrational frequency of those in the spirit realm. By using techniques to shift their own energy, mediums are able to access those in Spirit and decipher information through images, sound, sensation or other means. Using this, mediums relay information from this in Spirit to those incarnate. Tarot/Oracle
Tarot/Oracle: Intuitives who use tarot cards or oracle cards utilise both the symbology of the cards that are represented to them along with their own channel to Spirit to interpret what is happening within a client's life. Through developing their own language, tarot and oracle readers have through years of experience developed their own language, their own dictionary of symbology to use the cards in their readings. When cards are drawn by an individual, it is the subconscious mind or the Spirit that is accessing the information that the conscious is unaware of. This reception to the cards allows the real issues to emerge within the cards as well as accessibility to what is to come and what has come (the past and the future). This relates to all issues of love, money and career.

Psychic Guidance

Meet with a trained professional intuitive who will attune themselves with your energy field to assess what is occurring within your life. Guidance offered will aim to make clients aware of what can be changed or achieved in their lives that they may not have been aware of. Intuitives who work in this manner use their own energy and access to the spiritual realms to bring through information from Spirit via the client's spirit guides and angelic guardians, who know the client best of all. Through this information clients access a much broader picture of what is occurring in their lives along with the greater picture of the Whole.

Channelling/Trance

Trance and channellers have the ability to move their consciousness aside to allow another consciousness to speak, write or draw through. This allows the intuitive to effectively become a vehicle for a higher consciousness to speak through to the client. This may be for the more spiritual amongst you as the information tends to be much more spiritually-orientated, since those in higher frequencies have innate complex spiritual wisdom.
