2007 Voyage of Discovery
Vaz Sriharan We are all on a journey. From the moment we open our eyes in this world we are immediately exploring. This journey is how we learn, how we grow, how we move forwards and ultimately how we enjoy our experience in existence. Children are always such an incredible reflection of who we truly are – displaying our traits without any hindrance or judgement on their part, they move forwards naturally. They are the little explorers of this world, putting one foot here, one hand there and never being set back by a so-called mistake but trying again, usually in a new way. Exploring, Learning, Discovering - it is all part of our nature. We are constantly doing this whether we are conscious of it or not! However being conscious of it allows us to truly enjoy the experience that is life. And this is just one of the reasons the London College of Spirituality was set up - to offer a place for growth, for enjoyment and learning and to bend our minds, push the boundaries of consciousness - for therein lies our excitement of discovery. LCS is in reality responding to the state of consciousness on the planet, for this is rapidly changing, shifting from a closed separate-consciousness into an open interconnected-one. In this respect, the college aims to provide a venue for all fields, previously kept separate, to find common ground - and thus drive for a greater learning experience. Spirituality, Science, Politics, Psychology, Holism - all these fields have traditionally maintained their distance from one another, however we are moving into a new understanding that each person's truth is fundamental to their own existence - and therefore the variety of truths can only add to the greater Whole. Only by each person adding their Individual Truth can we truly evolve the Whole Truth. Your Voice matters, crucially. Personal and Social development - these are the keys of LCS's commitment to drive forward for change. By working on the Self and our relationship to the Whole, LCS believes we can truly shift a greater change in our own lives and those around us. And LCS is not alone! There are many hardworking organisations, compassionate bodies that are already out there - doing their bit, for change. By working together, by networking and building bridges, we can enter a new phase of evolution - one that ushers in a revolution of new thought and understanding. Consequently, LCS has recruited individuals who passionately and compassionately teach material at the forefront of consciousness, creating an arena for people to come together and share ideas and learn new ones. This process as well as the underlying subconscious boost by being around those who are similarly working on themselves creates a spiritual arena for renewal, healing and growth. Enjoy lectures by those not shy of presenting a new state of reality, courses & workshops by those experienced in shifting your state of thought, consultations by therapists who are skilled in exploring your blockages, as well as our free meetup organisation that allows those who want to simply share and meet others on their wavelength. We are also entering a new phase with our distance learning courses, offering the national and international community something to get involved in - also allowing those of us with less time on our hands to still get involved in personal discovery whilst allowing the process to fit around their own lives. The Shift And so, LCS this month launches Voyager - a free magazine that bring you articles, stories, responses, competitions on the fields of science, holism, politics, psychology, esotericism - all encapsulating Spirituality - material that makes you and those around you think, shift, heal and grow. We live in an incredibly exciting time, for we are on the verge of a major paradigm shift of consciousness. A major shift in thinking. It is already happening, it is already in process, it is simply becoming faster and more pronounced as we enter this dynamic New Year of 2008. What is spirituality? What is politics? What is science? What is psychology? What is holism? These are concepts we are only beginning to discover and fields that we are constantly redefining at the moment. There are merging together with a unified force – that of compassion. It is compassion that unifies all these fields and will allow each of to see the world as a place of immense variety, where all truths are respected. Compassion, Love, Peace & Harmony are all by-products of this Greater Exploration – the Voyage of Humanity. The future doesn’t simply contain visions of us holding hands and dancing around! It allows us to open up to new possibilities and amazing discoveries, and like our ancestors we do not fear the edge of the world but move forward to discover magical new truths that can shake the very foundations of what we know. So put one hand here and one foot there and make your own exciting, rocky and enjoyable personal journey of discovery. Born
spiritually aware and clairsententient, Vaz struggled to find his place in both
worlds. Experiencing acute depression for most of his life, Vaz worked in City banks and companies for almost 10 years.
Over this time he
continually explored spirituality and psychology in an attempt to find answers
to his situation. It was during this journey that he developed the ability to
channel-write - connecting to a deep wise aspect of his Inner Self. He now uses
his grounded spirituality via a popular blend of psycho-spirituality to help
awaken others to their Divine heritage - through workshops, lectures and
internationally published articles. Vaz has written, and is in the process of
publishing, an extensive spiritual book that expresses and delivers his unique style of teaching.
