Message from the Editor, Vaz

Namaste
friends! Welcome to our April E-Zine issue of
Voyager.
With this influx
of new energy, there is much transformation that is
occuring both internally and externally. One thing to
honour is the power of non-judgement of
the events, feelings, situations that occur around us.
For there is much that is being unravelled and for the
process to flow - the emotions, the situations, the
events must be allowed to flow themselves. Judgement
stalls any process for it ties us to it as we forget why
it is occuring. It also ties us to a drama that prolongs
that drama! There is no judgement in the eyes of
unconditional love, for it realises that for the
Light to be shown, the Dark must first be released. Both
are part of All That Is.
So how does judgement
affect us? When we judge our own behaviour and
chastise ourselves for acting this way, or feeling that
way, we block the process - denying what we are feeling,
forgetting that feeling is a natural process,
whatever that feeling may be. Similarly, when we
judge others for their behaviour or actions, we tie
ourselves to that person. This bond then affects our own
behaviour, as we deny that part within us. We are all
reflections of each other. Subsequently it affects our
manifestation, where it is reflected in our own
reality for us to learn - not to judge!
Trust the processes you
are going through, trust the processes that others go
through. Of course this is easier said once the process
is over. So - it is important we realise that at the
time we may not know what the reasons are - but in
time we will.
We
have a packed Summer coming up - there are many
wonderful courses, workshops and lectures available by
passionate & dynamic tutors and speakers! Please

| The Communal Soul & How to
Reach It |
Jenny Smedley
International columnist, author & Past Life
expert
Loneliness is prevalent in the world
today. People are segregated and many live alone in
their concrete box. They feel abandoned by the human
race and their souls wilt. Long ago people lived in
tribes, worshipped in tribes and nurtured extended
families. Outcasts were few. Today, families fragment,
drift apart and live separate lives. Long ago, people
believed in animism, whereby everything had a soul, even
if it was not animated; every rock, every water droplet,
every plant, animal and person, shared one thing - the
possession of a soul. Further, it also meant that every
soul and soul fragment was also connected, a part of the
communal soul. Loneliness is not possible if one
considers that one is part of an indistinguishable from
the whole. The question is how is one to connect with
the whole, when modern life does everything to block it.
To take this a step further, every
molecule in the universe, be it part of an animated
organism or not, by sharing the consciousness of the
soul pool, also shares some of its 'intelligence'. This
of course is not the intelligence of a material brain,
but the intelligence of cohesive thought, which must
percolate through every fragment of the communal soul.

| The Positive
Darkside |
US
Author & Leadership trainer
For too long, we have been split in an
either/or world.
Our
society has taught us to see things as good or evil,
right or wrong, plus or minus - when in reality it
is somewhere in between. As the father of a business
client of mine once said, "We are in the world of the
gray." This "World of the Gray" - this shade of gray is
the Positive Darkside. The Positive Darkside is the
middle ground between being dictatorial and being too
kind. The Positive Darkside is showing your fangs when
it is appropriate...killing and eating when it is
appropriate, manipulating with great glee when it is
necessary and virtuous. It is that side that sometimes
thinks you are God. It is the side of you that does
think evil thoughts, angry thoughts, negative thoughts,
and is able to recognize them - embrace them as yours
and dance with them.
There is a fear of our own Darkside that runs
deep because this line of thinking truly connects us to
all of our soul. Carl Jung commented on our fear of
darkness.

Sandie Gustus
International Academy of Consciousness
One
of the common paradoxes of the fascinating world of the
paranormal is that among the naturally gifted
practitioners... the psychics, clairvoyants and mediums,
few have a comprehensive understanding of the technical
aspects and mechanisms of the phenomena they experience
and control; whereas among the parapsychologists who are
working towards understanding the scientific theory of
the paranormal, few have had actual, personal experience
of the phenomena they are studying.
Yet
surely our best chance of unravelling the mysteries of
the paranormal lies in combining the theory of a
rational scientific approach with the invaluable
knowledge gained through practical, first-hand
experience.
This common-sense realization is the driving
force behind the work of the International Academy of
Consciousness (IAC), a global, non-profit organization
dedicated to the investigation the consciousness. The
word 'consciousness' is used here as a synonym for the
soul or spirit, or simply, your awareness.

Dear friends, we are in a time of tremendous change
and quantum leaps in consciousness. If there
was ever going to a time of vast awakening, that
time would be now in our era.
We all have guides that come at the right moment to
support the shift we are going through at any given time
and they come as spirit and as people. The key for so
many is recognizing when that is happening and
being willing to utilize the support and
guidance being offered...

| Aries (21 Mar - 21 April):
Cardinal Fire Sign |
Ana Isabel
Imagine that you are an Aries. You
need to begin to think and feel like a child again. This
is necessary if you are to begin to understand the
enthusiasm and energy of this, the first sign of the
Zodiac. This sign is born in spring around spring
festivals like Easter. From the emerging plants to
little ducklings, everything at this time of year is
about new life.
Picture then, lambs gamboling through the
countryside; bursting with all the excitement and energy
that new life feels. This is the energy of Aries:
restless, full of excitement and enthusiasm. This also
means that they can be impatient; they cannot wait to do
what they want, or go on to the next adventure. Next
time an Aries appears to demand rather than ask;
consider that they might not mean to be bossy, but that
they can't wait long enough to sugar coat their
demand.

| What exactly is
willpower? |
Akasha Lonsdale
Interfaith minister, Tutor, LCS
It
seems we have a number of expressions in our vocabulary
around willpower. For example: "He/she is a
wilful child".
What does this mean? Determined,
independent, stubborn, has a mind of their own, wants
things on their own terms? Possibly it
means all of these things.
"They have no willpower
at all when it comes to giving up smoking/losing weight
etc".
How many times have you heard someone say "I'm
determined to... (whatever it is) and then it doesn't
work?
I know I've been guilty of that with weight loss
- "I'm determined to lose 14lbs by March" - but I
haven't.
Why is that? Wasn't I
determined enough, didn't I apply enough willpower? Maybe that was
it.
However, I also know that when I really "set my
mind to something", I achieve it. So what is
the difference?

| Healing Mother Earth - Walking
the Path of Light |
|
We come to
play in the Garden of Eden, that is what earth is, a
place to explore and learn for your souls evolution. It
should be a place of great harmony between the planet
and the people that live here; much of the "Eden" effect
has been lost. The Garden of Eden was a time of
great harmony between the earth and the people who
resided there, a "utopia" which was a way of
living, a place of peace and perfect harmony and bliss,
reflecting life in the universe. This was a way of
living that was meant to be for ourselves and the
planet.
Much of the "utopia" effect has been lost, from
wars and the abuse of the planet, and of the people who
reside here. Many have lost the awareness and
feeling of the suffering of others, as we have lost our
connection with each other and the planet. The ancient
Egyptians recognised the sacredness of nature, for
within nature are symbols that are linked to universal
knowledge. Many pictures of animals were used in the
Egyptian alphabet. Children learning this, had to live
amongst nature, observing nature and sensing the
suffering of animals and the nature around them. There
were many laws that protected nature, for example, it
was illegal to cut trees. Whilst we have moved to an
urban lifestyle and busy towns, and the simple life in
nature is often not possible, we often waste much here,
leading to more of the destroying of our landscapes than
there needs to be.

| Children of Peace in the Middle
East |
|
Seeds of Peace
Founded in 1993, Seeds of Peace is
dedicated to empowering young leaders from regions of
conflict with the leadership skills required to advance
reconciliation and coexistence.
From 46 Israeli, Palestinian and
Egyptian teenagers in 1993, the
organisation still focuses on the Middle East but has
expanded its programming to include young leaders from
South Asia, Cyprus and the Balkans. Its leadership
network now encompasses over 3,500 young people
from several conflict regions.
Seeds of Peace has focused primarily on bringing
Arab and Israeli teenagers together before fear,
mistrust and prejudice blind them from seeing the human
face of their enemy. Seeds of Peace goes beyond
international agreements and treaties. It reverses the
legacy of hatred by nurturing lasting friendships that
become the basis for mutual understanding and respect.
By training these young leaders in conflict resolution
skills, Seeds of Peace helps them become the seeds from
which an enduring peace will grow.
