Sound Healing - Returning the
Body to Resonance

Sound has been
used for centuries for healing and meditative practice, sound healing can take
many forms. Everything in the universe is in a constant state of vibration, and
everything in existence emits sound. Vibration consists of sound, molecules and
atoms. Within the body our cells holds intelligence and information about
ourselves, we all have our unique soul vibration . The state of good health is
where cells and organs are vibrating in resonance. When they are vibrating out
of harmony, this causes a discourse. Sound can go some way to freeing cell
memory, letting go of emotions and increasing the connection between the inner
and outer life. Sound aims to change the frequency back to the normal frequency,
back to resonance. Resonance is the ability for a vibration through sound waves,
to create a similar vibration on the area that this is working on. This aims to
free the pathways, where there is a limitation. One of the main inhibitors of
our healing is the mind, sometimes due to the “chatter” that goes on within us.
Sound works beyond the mind, as it sends the mind and body into a deep
relaxation, an altered state, and the vibration of sound then completes its
healing process, without restriction of verbal interpretation, external systems
or authorities.
When the body
loses resonance, it is in conflict with the natural process of healing.
Resonance is linked to vitality, recovery, optimism and social integration.
Sound encourages full receptivity of the body and sense of ourselves, from this
alignment the soul becomes more present. This also helps free the pathways in
the energy field, so that there are no limitations. Static or dissonance can
normally be recognised where the air molecules are too tight or too dispersed.
Sound healing uses a variety of “tools” to identify when there is a dissonance
through intuition, scanning using the voice or hands, healing bowls, tuning
forks or other methods, which identify an area in the body which requires
healing.
John Beaulieu
discovered Bionic Repatterning and correlated “ different consciousness with
different sounds of his nervous system”. He found that tuning forks can
harmonise the cells back to their perfect pattern. Therefore sound tools such as
tuning forks, are tuned to the Pythagoras scale. On sounding the tuning forks,
the air molecules are compressed then pulled apart, this creates movement and
healing. Tuning forks can be used to harmonise and remind the cells of their
perfect patterns/sound resonance. These can be used on each chakra, so that the
frequency from the fork can bring the frequency of the chakra back to its
natural resonance. Lower chakras are associated with lower tones, e.g. the base
chakra with note C and higher chakras, such as the crown chakra with higher
tones, note B.
Energy moves in
the auric field through the chakras into the physical body, and travels via the
meridians into the organs. Sound travels through all of these, and through the
fluid and bones, therefore it is a powerful tool to enable the body to become
back into alignment. The body is an octave of sound, and the aim is to have the
body in harmony, so that the body is in balance. Holding an intention for the
client and his/her healing, also further enhances the process.
Using the C and
G tuning forks are a good way to start using tuning forks. Tapping these
together and placing these on either side of the ear, about 6 inches away, gives
a deep sense of relaxation. They are also are also good for clearing static in
the energy field by tapping these together and sweeping these through the energy
fields. By tapping these forks and holding them parallel to each other, creates
a “ perfect fifth”, and a “still point” within which further sound healing can
take place. Creating a “still point” opens up centres in the energy field,
increasing the flow of light within these. This in effect is a hologram, within
which the creative healing process can take place. Transferring healing through
the hands and through these sound tools, also facilitates healing. Hands and
feet are particular areas that can hold resistance and restrictions, by freeing
the joints, the flow of information and healing can increase throughout the
body.
In my own
healing practice, I use both the tuning forks and tibetan healing bowls. These
have been very effective when healing clients, particularly with illnesses
relating to joints. I have also found the Tibetan healing bowls to be very
useful in meditation practice, in the same way that they have been used for
hundreds of years.
