LCS is a home-grown college. We are working from the ground up, branching out and reaching people across faiths, religions, fields, beliefs, colours, creeds, classes. We use the analogy of a tree to anchor spiritual thought into physical reality, making it viable for people to go about their lives with a spiritual approach - in a grounded way. Using the truths learned from one another, this allows us all to grow into other areas, exploring together and nurturing one another. LCS evolves through the continual assimilation of all participants, tutors and volunteers, amassing thought together to reach new higher truths as a symbiotic group.

Our tree of knowledge also work with others in society who are hard-working with their own development to make a difference - where we all recognise our part within an evolving forest of ideas, networking, sharing and collaborating for humanity's development.  We believe this to be the most empowering way for the people to reclaim their power - allowing each individual to become part of the movement themselves.

Pursuit of Knowledge
Exploring consciousness and pushing the boundaries of knowledge. Therefore LCS realises that for it to truly represent a foundation for spiritual exploration, it must constantly adapt accordingly with ever-evolving mass consciousness.

Inclusion of all Paths
Welcoming all beliefs, faiths and truths and those without. Respect for other's belief is primary in all courses, workshops and consultations.

Non-polarisation
LCS is aligned with a principle of transcending duality, through seeing all 'sides' of a situation. Therefore, LCS refrains from entering any 'us versus them' philosophies or material. LCS is committed to working with all 'sides' to bring about co-operation and harmony.

College Responsibility
LCS is devoted towards the services of its staff, students and clients. This college strives to ensure that it learns  from its students as much as it teaches or guides them.

Social Responsibility
Recognising that being involved in a society means giving and receiving. LCS is dedicated towards giving back into society through volunteer-based community work, freely given without passing any belief-based material.

Environmental Responsibility
LCS is committed to ensuring that it sets an example in terms of environmental awareness and respect to the  planet through its promotion of recycling, using recycled products, carbon neutrality.
 

The London College of Spirituality is committed to maintaining and upholding a crucial foundation of integrity throughout its practices, tutors and teachings by aligning itself with its Core Principles (see above). This integrity is a reflection of the respect this college has for all transformational work. It is also a mark of the intention this college has to continually grow and expand in all areas, always maintaining by its core message of evolving teachings, serving the Whole and empowering the Self.

LCS' business premise, MLS Business Centres, is carbon neutral. In fact MLS Business in 2006 set up Ethos, a social awareness foundation, designed to help improve the world's environment.

LCS banks with the Co-Operative bank, an ethical bank that specifically states that none of its clients endorse, invest or profit in arms trading, planetary damage or social malaise.

LCS recognises that being carbon neutral is only half the solution, therefore all products at LCS - ink, paper and materials - are made from recycled supplies.

LCS works with the community. LCS is currently working with St. Mungo's, the Primary Care Trust and the London Borough of Chelsea with their joint creation of a new Wellbeing Centre in Chelsea. This centre provides the socially deprived in the surrounding area with free complementary services.

Through its Events, LCS organises local volunteer-based events in and around London to strengthen social responsibility amongst its staff, students and visitors.
